Go slow… to go fast. We spend extra time and care in the beginnings of a project to ensure its success in design and execution in later stages.

No idea is sacred. Design ideas and decisions should be tested and questioned. We explore iterative options to discover more design possibilities and opportunities.

A good idea comes from anywhere. A good idea comes from anyone. We are guests on your grounds and can learn from you.

Cater the process for you. One of the first questions we will ask you is who will be involved and engaged. We want to create alignment and expectations early on.

Transparency is key. It is our job to communicate to you in a way the resonates with your process. We request a mutual relationship of open communication.

OUR HISTORY

M+Y was formed in 2012 and is based in Albuquerque, NM. Partners Raimund McClain and Kristina Yu, having practiced architecture for other nationally and internationally known organizations, created M+Y to specialize in educational and institutional projects.

M+Y is a woman- and minority-owned small business.
