M+Y completed the design for the FCF Church Kids Zone, which includes a 100-student day care facility licensed by the NM PED. The design was completed in June 2019, and construction was completed on schedule and within budget. This project is of metal construction, including exposed custom steel columns and beams and a high-efficiency exterior insulated metal panel system. On the inside, the Sanctuary operates with low-velocity HVAC, while the daycare and administrative areas operate with variable refrigerant flow cassette systems, allowing for efficient and flexible conditioning. Building security is controlled with access control systems, video surveillance, and the careful design of entry and exit points.

The FCF Church Kids Zone integrates several elements demanded by a daycare and worship facility:

• Play areas linked to classrooms

• Plentiful plumbing fixtures that allow flexibility in age group use

• Shaded courtyard area for church and daycare functions

• Securely zoned areas allowing for simultaneous occupancy of church and daycare
